Southborough

Southborough sits on the ridge between Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge and has its own town council, high street, and identity. The high street has a handful of independent shops, a couple of pubs, and a community feel that's separate from Tunbridge Wells proper. Housing is a mix of Victorian terraces, 1930s semis, and some newer estates. Southborough Common is a large open green space that adds to the village-town character. It's slightly cheaper than central Tunbridge Wells and appeals to families who want their own community rather than being a suburb of somewhere else.
