Northcote

Northcote Road is one of the most well-known streets in south London for a reason. Independent shops, a daily market, good pubs, and a real street life. The residential streets off it are classic Victorian terraces, increasingly whole houses rather than flats as you move further from the Junction. It is the heart of what people mean when they say Nappy Valley. Outstanding primaries are the magnet. Prices reflect all of this, and it can feel a bit homogeneous if you are not a young professional family, but it works very well if you are.
