South Balham

South Balham bleeds into the Tooting end of things. The housing is similar to Balham proper, Victorian and Edwardian terraces, but prices drop as you move south from the station. Du Cane Court, one of Europe's largest blocks of flats, is a local landmark. Balham station is still walkable for most of it. It has the benefit of being close to both Tooting's restaurants and Balham's high street without being quite as expensive as either centre.
