Woldingham is proper stockbroker belt. Large detached houses on big plots set among mature trees on the North Downs ridge. The roads wind through woodland and many properties are hidden behind hedges and long driveways. Woldingham station gives you a direct Southern service to London Bridge, which is surprisingly quick for somewhere that feels this rural. The village itself has almost nothing: a church, a village hall, and the well-known Sacred Heart convent school (now Woldingham School). There are no shops to speak of. You drive to Caterham or Oxted for everything. The appeal is purely the setting, the space, and the privacy. It is one of the most expensive pockets in Tandridge.
