Watford town centre proper. The High Street has been pedestrianised and runs from the Pond down to the shopping centre. Clarendon Road is where the office blocks and newer restaurants cluster. There's a decent nightlife scene by Home Counties standards, with bars and clubs that draw people from surrounding towns. Housing is mostly flats, both converted Victorian and newer purpose-built blocks. It's noisy and busy, which suits young professionals but less so families. Watford Junction is a short walk north, and the Metropolitan line station is to the south at Cassiobury.
