Bayswater South

The Queensway end of Bayswater, running down towards Hyde Park. Queensway itself has a mix of chain restaurants, Middle Eastern cafes, and the Whiteleys redevelopment which has been going on forever. The side streets off Bayswater Road have handsome stucco terraces, though many are carved into small flats and short-let apartments. Bayswater and Queensway tubes are on the Central and District/Circle lines. Hyde Park is right there, which is genuinely transformative for daily life. It's transient and cosmopolitan, with a large Arab and French community. Hotels everywhere.
