Westbourne covers the area around Westbourne Grove and the streets between Bayswater and Notting Hill. The northern stretch towards Westbourne Park Road has more of a mixed character, with council estates sitting alongside expensive townhouses. Westbourne Park tube (Hammersmith & City) is the local station. The area benefits from proximity to Portobello Road and the shopping on Westbourne Grove. It's a transitional zone that takes its character from its more famous neighbours. The Tabernacle community centre on Powis Square is a local landmark.
