Harrow Road

Harrow Road is a long, busy arterial running from Paddington towards Kensal Green, and the streets around it are a world away from the Westminster of postcards. Council estates, some large and interwar, dominate the housing. The road itself has a run of functional shops, takeaways, and a few community resources. Westbourne Park tube (Hammersmith & City) is useful. The Grand Union Canal runs parallel and the towpath offers a surprisingly pleasant walk. It's affordable by Westminster standards, which is relative, and the community is diverse and long-established.
