Hyde Park

The ward takes its name from the park, and the residential element is the streets along its edges, particularly around Connaught Village and the top of Park Lane. Connaught Village is a surprisingly intimate little cluster of shops and restaurants that feels like a pocket of calm behind Marble Arch. The housing is almost exclusively expensive flats in mansion blocks and converted townhouses. Marble Arch and Lancaster Gate tubes are nearby. Living here is really about having one of London's great parks as your garden. It's rarefied, quiet at night, and not cheap by any measure.
