W2 5
Royal Oak takes its name from the tube station on the Hammersmith & City and Circle lines. It's a small area between Paddington Basin and Westbourne Green, with a mix of council estates and some newer developments around the canal. The Paddington Basin regeneration has brought modern offices and flats to the edges. Westbourne Green open space provides some breathing room. It's functional and well connected but not somewhere with a strong identity. People tend to say they live in Paddington or Westbourne Green rather than Royal Oak.
