Wickford North

The residential streets north of the high street and station, running up towards Shotgate. Housing is a mix of older Victorian and Edwardian cottages closer to the centre and postwar semis further out. You're within walking distance of the station and the high street, which is the main advantage over the newer estates. Some of the streets near the Crooked Billet have genuine character. It feels like the part of Wickford that existed before the big postwar expansion.
