This is the more settled end of the Dedworth estate, where families have been for a generation or two. The housing is mostly post-war council stock, some bought under Right to Buy, mixed with pockets of newer development. It does not have the polish of central Windsor but it is practical and has a community feel that some of the grander parts of town lack. St Edward's Royal Free is a popular primary. You are close enough to the Great Park to walk there, which lifts the whole area. Shopping means driving to the centre or out towards the retail parks.
