St John's

St John's sits northwest of Woking town centre along the A245 towards Knaphill. It has its own village green, a memorial hall, and a small parade of shops along the main road. The lido (Woking Pool in the Park) is a genuine local asset, one of the few surviving outdoor pools in Surrey. Housing is mostly interwar semis and some Victorian terraces. St John's has its own identity and people who live here will tell you they're from St John's, not Woking. It's not fancy, but it's got character and a proper community feel.
