Bradwell is one of the older villages absorbed into Milton Keynes. The original village core around the church and Bradwell Abbey is still recognisable, though surrounded by newer estate housing from the 1970s and 80s. It has a quiet, suburban feel typical of MK grid squares. Heron Lake and the abbey ruins give it a bit more character than some of the neighbouring estates. Daily shopping means a drive or bus ride to one of the bigger centres.
