Wolverton was purpose-built in the 1830s for the London and Birmingham Railway, and that industrial heritage still shapes the town. The Square and Stratford Road have a compact town centre feel, with independent shops, cafes, and a growing food scene. The old railway works buildings are being redeveloped, which is bringing new investment and some buzz. Victorian terraces on a tight grid make up most of the housing stock. Wolverton station gives you the West Coast Main Line into Euston in under an hour. It has more grit and character than most of MK, and people who live here tend to be quite proud of the place.
