CR5 3
Chipstead is a proper Surrey village that happens to have a train station. The valley setting is attractive, with steep wooded hills on either side and Chipstead Bottom running through. Housing is mostly large detached houses with big gardens, many from the interwar period, plus some newer infill. There is no real high street to speak of, just a pub and a church. You drive to Banstead or Coulsdon for shopping. Chipstead station sits in the valley and the Southern service gets you to London Bridge or Victoria. It is quiet, green, and expensive. People here have chosen countryside over convenience.
