Cauldwell

Cauldwell is south of the river, a residential area that does not get much attention. Housing is a mix of Victorian terraces closer to the centre and post-war council stock further out. It is one of the more affordable parts of Bedford and has a diverse population. Elstow Road runs through with a scatter of takeaways and convenience shops. It is not the part of Bedford that gets recommended on the parenting forums, but it is honest and functional for people on a budget.
