Kempston Central & East

This covers the old heart of Kempston around the High Street and stretching east toward the river. The High Street has a Co-op, takeaways, a few independents, and a post office. Nothing fancy but it covers the basics. Housing is a mix of Victorian terraces closer to the centre and post-war semis and council stock as you move out. The river meadows along the Great Ouse are a genuine asset for walking and cycling. It feels like a small town centre rather than a suburb, which some people like about it.
