Queens Park

Queens Park is south of the river and centres on the park of the same name. It is one of Bedford's most diverse areas with a significant South Asian and Italian heritage community. Midland Road, the street leading from the station, has a run of Italian delis and restaurants that give it genuine character. Housing is mostly Victorian terraces, many converted into flats. It is close to the station, which is a real advantage for commuters. The area has had some investment but still feels a bit rough around the edges in places.
