Kempston North

The part of Kempston closest to Bedford itself, running up toward the river crossing. A lot of 1950s and 60s housing, some of it ex-council. It blurs into Bedford without much of a defined boundary, which means you can walk into the town centre reasonably easily. Less character than the older centre but perfectly functional for families who want space without paying Bedford prices.
