Kempston South

South Kempston stretches out toward the countryside and has seen more recent development than the older parts of town. There are some sizeable new-build estates mixed in with 1970s and 80s housing. Kempston Rural is nearby and it starts to feel more open toward the southern edges. You are reliant on a car for most things as the shops and services are back up on the High Street or in Bedford. Box End Park is accessible from here, which is popular with families in the summer.
