Greyfriars takes its name from the old friary and covers part of the south side of the town centre. It is a mixed area with some of the Harpur Trust buildings, some modern development, and older terraced streets. Close enough to the station to be walkable, which matters if you are commuting. It does not have a strong identity of its own and tends to get lumped in with the general town centre. Affordable for the location.
