De Parys Avenue is Bedford's best address and everyone in the town knows it. Wide tree-lined road with large Victorian and Edwardian houses, many of them detached. Bedford School and Bedford Girls' School are right here, which is a major draw for families willing to go private. The park at the southern end connects through to the Embankment. It feels like a different town from the areas south of the river. Property prices reflect the postcode premium.
