ME19 5 / ME6 5
Three small villages strung along the lanes between West Malling and the River Medway. Leybourne is the largest, with a mix of older cottages and some modern estates near the lakes. Leybourne Lakes Country Park is the local highlight, popular with walkers, anglers, and families. Birling is barely a hamlet, just a church and a handful of houses up on the ridge. Ryarsh is similarly small but has a proper village feel with a green and a pub. West Malling station is the nearest for London commutes, about 44 minutes to London Bridge. It is firmly car-dependent territory but genuinely peaceful.
