Snodland West & Holborough Lakes

This is where the old cement works and quarries used to be, and the Holborough Lakes development has completely transformed the landscape. It is a large new-build estate built around landscaped lakes, with its own primary school and a small local centre. The houses are modern and tightly packed but the lakeside setting gives it something most new-builds lack. West Snodland beyond the development is more mixed, with some older housing along the roads heading towards Birling and the North Downs. People buying here are often young families priced out of Maidstone or the Medway Towns who want something new with green space on the doorstep.
