TN15 7 / TN15 8
The village itself is centred on the crossroads of the A25 and A227, which gives it a busy feel for somewhere this size. Housing is a real mix: some older Victorian and Edwardian cottages near the centre, a lot of 1930s semis spreading outward, and newer estates on the edges. The high street covers the basics without being exciting. There is a recreation ground and the primary school has a reasonable reputation. The quarries and industrial sites on the edges mean it is not the most picturesque, but people tend to move here because it is one of the more affordable corners of this part of Kent with a station and decent road links.
