Coldean & Stanmer

Coldean is a small estate on the northeastern edge of Brighton, tucked between the university campus and Stanmer Park. It feels cut off from the rest of the city in a way that suits some people. Housing is mostly post-war council stock, some of it now privately owned. Stanmer Park is genuinely lovely and right on the doorstep. The trade-off is that there's nothing here in terms of shops or nightlife, and getting into town means a bus or a drive.
