The eastern side of Buckhurst Hill runs towards Loughton and backs onto Epping Forest. Housing is mostly 1930s semis and detached houses on tree-lined streets, with some larger Edwardian properties closer to the High Road. Buckhurst Hill tube station is the main transport link. The streets around Palmerston Road and Westbury Road are particularly popular with families. Forest walks are genuinely part of daily life here, not a marketing line. It's quiet, settled, and the kind of place where people stay once they arrive.
