Chigwell

Chigwell village is proper moneyed Essex, though residents would bristle at the Essex label. Large detached houses, many behind gates, on winding lanes that back onto Epping Forest. The village centre is tiny, just a handful of shops, a couple of pubs, and Chigwell School. Debden station on the Central line is the nearest tube but it is a drive or a bus ride away. Chigwell Row feels even more rural, bordering on Hainault Forest. People move here for space, privacy, and the forest on their doorstep. You need a car for everything.
