Loughton Fairmead

Fairmead covers the southern part of Loughton towards Debden, where the housing is more mixed. You get 1930s semis alongside some council-built stock and newer infill. Debden tube station is the nearest Central line stop. The Debden Broadway shopping parade handles everyday needs. It's less polished than the northern parts of Loughton, more affordable, and has a straightforward suburban character. Families on a tighter budget end up here because you still get forest access and a tube into town without paying Loughton village prices.
