Westerham is a small, pretty town at the foot of the North Downs with a proper green, a statue of Churchill (he lived at nearby Chartwell), and a cluster of pubs, tea rooms, and antique shops. It feels distinctly more affluent than Edenbridge. Housing is a mix of period properties around the green and larger detached houses on the surrounding hills. Crockham Hill is a hamlet above the town with scattered houses and big views across the Weald. The catch is transport. There is no station, so you drive to Oxted or Sevenoaks for the train, and the M25 junction at nearby Clacket Lane means the A25 gets busy. Families like the primary school and the Greensand Way walks are on the doorstep.
