Esher

Esher High Street has a decent collection of restaurants, coffee shops, and a few independents, though it doesn't quite match the wealth of the surrounding streets. Sandown Park racecourse brings race-day traffic several times a year. The houses on the roads off the High Street are large, many Edwardian and interwar, with generous gardens. Esher station is a short walk from the centre and Waterloo is roughly half an hour. Claremont Landscape Garden is nearby for walks. It's a well-off commuter town that does what it needs to without being especially exciting. The A3 runs right past, which you hear from some streets.
