Western Commons

This covers the area around Hale and the commons to the west of Farnham, straddling the Surrey/Hampshire border. The commons themselves are sandy heathland, good for walking but not conventionally pretty parkland. Housing is a mix of older properties along the main roads and some 1960s and 70s development. Hale has a few local shops and feels like a small settlement absorbed into Farnham's orbit. Quieter and less polished than the Bourne, but the open space on your doorstep is genuine.
