The broader Cheriton area stretches from the residential streets around Horn Street and the edges of Shorncliffe Camp down toward the Channel Tunnel terminal. Housing is a real mix, from Victorian terraces to post-war estates and some newer infill. The proximity to the Eurotunnel is obvious, with the M20 and terminal traffic a constant background presence. Cheriton High Street has a few useful shops but is nothing special. Folkestone West station is close, which is the main draw for commuters.
