Gillingham South

The residential southern stretch of Gillingham, less shaped by the station than the northern area. The housing is a mix of interwar and post-war semis, a fairly standard Kent suburb in character. There's no real high street to speak of and you'll more likely travel north for any shopping. Schools locally are adequate. It's the kind of area that serves its purpose without drawing attention to itself: affordable, quiet, practical. Families with school-age children who want space without the London price tag find it reasonable. It won't wow you but it won't let you down either.
