Greenwich Peninsula

The Peninsula is essentially a new neighbourhood built from scratch on former industrial land around the O2. Tall residential towers, a handful of restaurants and shops on the ground floors, and the Design District adding some cultural weight. North Greenwich tube (Jubilee line) is excellent for getting into central London. The riverside walk is pleasant but the area can feel exposed and windswept. It's almost entirely new-build flats aimed at young professionals and renters. It doesn't have the community feel of established neighbourhoods yet, and daily life still requires going elsewhere for most things.
