Woolwich Dockyard is the area between Woolwich town centre and Charlton, served by its own station on the Southeastern line to London Bridge. It's historically where the Royal Dockyard operated. Now it's mostly residential, with a mix of Victorian terraces and newer housing. It's quieter than central Woolwich and a bit disconnected, sitting between the two bigger centres without much of its own identity. The riverside walk towards the Thames Barrier is a highlight.
