Shalford

Shalford sits just south of Guildford where the Tillingbourne meets the Wey. It has its own station, which makes it genuinely practical despite feeling like a separate village. The common is a big open green, popular with dog walkers and families. The village has a pub, a primary school, and a few basics, but Guildford high street is walkable in twenty minutes. Housing is varied, some Victorian cottages near the centre, Arts and Crafts houses up the hill, and newer estates towards Chilworth.
