Downley

Downley sits on the hilltop above Wycombe and has kept a genuine village identity. There's a proper common, a village hall, a couple of pubs, and a community that actually uses them. The housing is a mix of older cottages near the common and post-war semis and detached houses further out. It feels separate from the town even though you're only a few minutes' drive down the hill. Families like it for the outdoor space and the primary school. The common is used for cricket in summer.
