Hartley Wintney is one of the few places in Hart that genuinely feels like a village rather than a commuter suburb. There's a long, wide high street with a decent mix of independent shops, a couple of pubs, a cricket green, and an old oak common. Housing ranges from period cottages near the centre to larger detached houses on the outskirts. Winchfield is the nearest station but it has a limited service, so most people drive to Fleet or Hook. Popular with families who want a bit more character than Hook or Fleet can offer, and are willing to trade convenience for it.
