Chiswick is one of west London's most desirable suburbs. The high road has an excellent mix of independent shops, restaurants, and cafes, including a thriving food scene around Chiswick House. Chiswick House and Gardens are a serious asset, with 65 acres of grounds. Housing is predominantly Georgian and Victorian, with some substantial detached properties off the main roads. Turnham Green and Stamford Brook stations provide District and Piccadilly line access. It's expensive, but you get genuine quality of life. The mix of green space, good schools, and a proper high street is hard to beat in west London.
