West Leigh is the residential streets between the Broadway and Eastwood, stretching north from the London Road. It's a quieter, more purely residential part of Leigh with 1930s semis and some detached houses on the wider avenues. You're walking distance to the Broadway and the station, which gives it most of the lifestyle benefits of central Leigh without quite the same price tag. West Leigh Junior School has a good local reputation. It does not have much in the way of its own shops or identity, it's essentially the suburban hinterland of Leigh that benefits from the proximity.
