Meopham

Meopham village proper sits along the long ridge road between Gravesend and Wrotham. The cricket green is the centre of things, with the Kings Arms and the Cricketers nearby. Housing is a mix of older Kent cottages, 1950s and 60s semis, and some larger detached properties along Wrotham Road. There is a small row of shops near the green but most people drive to Gravesend or Bluewater for anything serious. Meopham station is on the London Victoria line and that commute keeps demand steady. The primary schools are decent and Meopham School handles secondary. It is a real village with an active community, parish council types, cricket club, Scouts. Families who grew up in outer south east London end up here when they want a garden and some quiet.
