Limpsfield

Limpsfield is one of the posher villages in the area, sitting up on the Greensand Ridge with views across the Weald. The old village around the church has flint cottages, a cricket pitch, and a proper village atmosphere. Limpsfield Chart, up on the common, is even more exclusive with large detached houses backing onto National Trust woodland. Delius is buried in the churchyard, which tells you something about the kind of place it is. Oxted station is walkable from lower Limpsfield. It is quiet, leafy, and noticeably more moneyed than Oxted itself.
