Rainham North is the most spread out of the four areas, dominated by semidetached houses and post-war estates. It feels less village-like than All Saints and more purely residential, with streets running between the mainline station and the M2 corridor. Housing is practical and affordable, the sort of place people buy when they want more space for their money. It does not have much of a high street identity of its own but is close enough to Rainham centre to use it. Families like it because the primary schools are reasonable and there is space to spread out.
