Central Harbour

This is the bit of Ramsgate that appears in the property supplements. The Royal Harbour is one of only two royal harbours in the country and the surrounding streets have proper Regency and Georgian architecture. Cafes and independent restaurants have moved in around the harbour arm and it feels like a different town to the rest of Ramsgate on a sunny day. The flip side is that some of the grand townhouses are in rough condition and the streets immediately behind the waterfront are more worn. Flats in the converted buildings sell well to DFLs and weekenders.
