Sir Moses Montefiore

Named after the Victorian philanthropist who had a large estate here. This is an inner residential ward covering streets south and west of the town centre. Housing is a mix of Victorian terraces and some social housing. It is one of the more deprived areas in Ramsgate and has the social challenges that come with that. The Montefiore connection gives it an unusual name but the area itself is unremarkable. King George VI Memorial Park provides some green space.
