The Viking ward covers the southern part of Ramsgate towards Pegwell. The name references the area's Norse history. It is a residential area of mostly post-war housing, some of it council-built. Ellington Park is nearby and is one of the better green spaces in the town. It sits between the more interesting harbour area and the open countryside towards Pegwell Bay. A quiet, unremarkable part of Ramsgate where you get more house for less money.
