Wheatley

Wheatley covers the northern part of Rayleigh, stretching up towards the A129 and the edges of Hullbridge. It is a newer part of town compared to the centre, with a lot of postwar and late 20th century housing. There are some larger estates up here that were built in phases from the 1960s onwards. The Bull Lane area has a few local shops but nothing that would save you a trip into the High Street. It is quieter and a bit more spread out than central Rayleigh, which suits families who prioritise space over walkability.
