Ockendon

This is the core of South Ockendon around the station and the shopping parades on Derry Avenue and Foyle Drive. The station is the main draw, a straightforward commute into the City on the c2c line. Housing is the usual post-war overspill mix, mostly semis and terraces, with some low-rise flats. The area has had its problems over the years and still feels a bit neglected in places, though there has been some investment in the community hub. It is cheap and it gets you into London quickly, which is the honest selling point.
